Gretchen Holzgang is a writer and whiskey enthusiast based out of Portland, Ore.
Gretchen got her degree in news editorial and magazine from the University of Oregon's School of Journalism and Communication. She moved to Portland to work as an editorial intern for Portland Monthly Magazine before becoming and editor and staff journalist for the Portland Business Journal and sister publication Sustainable Business Oregon. After her time as a staff journalist, Gretchen became a freelance writer, focusing on copywriting, ghost writing, research, and journalism. After many years of traveling and writing, she became a staff copywriter for notable Portland-based businesses and advertising agencies and launched her own creative projects—including a blog, social influencer marking campaigns, and a YouTube channel.
